The darts have a very nice micro style grip all over the barrel which is enhanced further by the thin cut rings and its very close to being a high level of grip but I would call it a high medium.

MY GRIP WITH THESE DARTS:
I felt most comfortable gripping just a little up from the nose near the end of the first section of ring grip, darts felt nicely balanced here and grip was good.

Darts landed in the board with a slight angle, a little flatter than is normal for me:

CONCLUSION:
Although these darts are part of the Shot Start range they are very nice in their own right and don't let that put you off giving them a try thinking they may just be for beginners because you will miss out on a very nice dart. They reminded me a lot of the original Darts Nutz darts as they have a similar style and profile.
At first I was a little mixed with my throwing but soon got a feel for them and found them to work rather well with my front grip and almost as good with gripping at the rear which was very surprising! On my very first throw that you can see in the video above I throw the first dart and second one looks like it went in the same spot but scraped past the stem but the third dart was a robin hood, so although they were not in the T20 all three darts flew in pretty much the same way, which was nice lol!
One thing I noticed and I don't know if its me as I seem to have felt it on a few sets of late is they had a very light feeling about them, almost as if they are about 20g and not 24g. Again it could be just that the balance is feeling good which is making it feel lighter?
Like I said above I tried throwing from the rear and it worked very well, did not work so well when I threw them from the centre but it was ok, I just seemed to throw them a little high from that grip but its not to say they wont suit a centre gripper as its more likely just the way I throw. Usually straight barrels can work well with any style really.
The grip is nice though and not overly grippy so should be fine for people who just need something to give them enough control without slipping but also so it does not stick on release.
I did use the alloy stems when testing them which was kind of putting me off at times as the stems kept coming loose and it was a bit annoying, I could not find my rubber "O" rings but I just wish alloy stems would come with them already fitted, surely everyone knows that they don't stay put without them on?
Overall its a well made dart and should work great for a lot of styles.
