Focus and concentration in darts
Here is a little article I did on focus and concentration in darts.

Let me know what you think or if there is anything I could add/change to make it better/more helpful!

There is much to be said about focus and concentrating on whatever the task at hand. Having said that, I also am a firm believer in the saying, paralysis by over analysis. As Tiger Woods has always said, sometimes to the n'th degree, "stay in the moment". Try to keep your focus simple, one shot, one set of three, one leg, and then one set. Interested to see alot more view points on this. Smart folk in this forum, should be interesting. Cheers everyone, Haggis...

Nothing I can add realy, I think im one of the lucky ones cuz I dont giv a sit about to much which helps me not get to tyed up with how I throw or what the opposition is doing, I just do my thing and dont expect to much from myself and anything good is a bonus.

I draw on a lot of sources here, including some of my own experiences and journey in darts, but really a lot of the ideas can be traced back to George Silberzahn and Donny Joe..with a bit of Anne Kramer mixed in! Thank you!

I thought I'd give Darts Nutz a bit of return publicity as well!

Laugh all you want, but it was taking a big chunk out of my game. I'm not even suggesting any kind of 'special' breathing..just regular normal breathing..which you will naturally/instinctively stop doing as a fear response. Maybe it doesnt apply to you? maybe I'd like to see which one of us could hit a double first? Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

Great article and I've found that too much thinking will snap my game quicker than just making the point stick

Thinking is the enemy!

I was playing so relaxed yesterday that my throw actually felt smooth for a change and I was only a little bit off my targets, felt good though Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

It doesn't really Dave- I never think about breathing - just put the dart in da hole like George says. plus one for ya bud.
