Stroke ok, but no accuracy?
Hi fellow nutz, what would be some possible reasons that i can't get any accuracy on my darts despite having a good stroke?

Maybe poor release. I used to feel like that too and its frustrating.

So you've now found your accuracy? That's great! How did you solve the problem?

Haha I wouldn't quite say that.

I think I personally was too worried about how I was throwing and not what I was throwing at. But I did it enough that I now have the throw I want without thinking about it. That means I can get back to throwing at my target instead of thinking about my throw.

Let's try this. Post a video of your throw. Cover front and side angles. Then let our analysts (Regulatori, etc.) work on it. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

I think Darts Performance Centre analyzes throw postures too. I don't know if their services is for free.

That's a great idea. They should be able to help you.

About 11 months.

The issue is that sometimes i am able to guide all 3 darts exactly where i want them, but can lose that ability within a few more visits, not getting it back for days Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

Well.. i'll admit i haven't played for long, but my sometimes my darts don't even fly in the general area of where i'm throwing which is pretty unusual imo

I would be willing to bet.... your stroke is not consistent yet.

Far too soon in your playing days.

I know this from first hand experience. I've only been playing about 14 months, and I found that's exactly what my problem is.

Hmm that could be it tbh. Always looking to take on feedback and improve my game. Maybe when i get the video done the experts here can point out things missing from my mechanics i may not have noticed. It's 1am where i'm at so I don't want to be waking everyone up now LOL!

Yeah, playing darts consistently is HARD!! Personally one of the hardest sports/hobbies I've ever done in my life. In 11 months you realistically can't expect to play consistent at all. Some days are going to be great. Other days you want to toss your darts in the nearest lake. BELIEVE ME, I still have this very same issue. Pro wannabe one day, darts in the lake the next Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.
