I guess there is a mistake. The old sizes were 34, 42 and 48mm.

This could get messy in trying to remember what you have and what you need. Wish they had used something other than "new" to describe the shaft. I would rather see a code or something like PG31 for a short, PG345 for a "new" intermediate, and PG38 for an intermediate. Get rid of the traditional descriptors with something you can use, write down, and/or remember easier.

its going to be hard to tell the sizes now without measuring them or buying them new in the packet, I think its nice to add a little more variety to what people may need to alter their set up but ultimately it could create a lot of confusion in beginners and intermediate skill level players.

#1, #2, #3 seems to be a great system. Simple too

Target have put numbers on the stems, as suggested above.
I'm still none the wiser which size is in between the regular short and intermediate.

Santi I think you were spot on in your opening post. I just looked at an unopened packet of short stems. They are listed as 34mm. The 'new' labels on the pic is wrong which has left me confused too.
But I guess we will get used to it after a while though.

no idea mate. when i saw this i thought....what the hell are you doing?
making it too complicated i think. i'm sure they always sold their short stems as 34mm, but now they have introduced more sizes (which is great) they have messed with it all.

I just cant decide if its a good or bad thing, on one hand the new sizes will give people more choice but on the other it may just create more indecision?

true enough. could be very confusing especially i think for new players. tweenies have been popular though and this may have something to do with the soft tip market too as i think cosmo have many different shaft lengths
