If it came down to strict "pro sessions" (where a pro gives you 1-on-1 lessons/tips/throws games with you), many have an instant pick.
Let's throw in a different twist.
You have to pick one present (or slightly retired) BDO/PDC pro. It can be someone new like Micheal Smith...or a classic like Bristow/Lowe.
One full day of lessons by this pro. This can start at 8am and spread throughout the day. Half of it can be at your house, half can be at a bar..doesn't matter. The pro is your professional dart tutor for the day.
It's all about lessons/training though...no interviews/questions about past tournaments/gossip, etc..
It's like a professional/personal trainer from the gym/fitness club but for darts.
Here is the part that will make you think...
You also have one full day of hanging out, bullshitting, dinner, etc.. That means you can go to a bar and talk about darts....but you can't throw darts together. You can ask this pro about other pros, past tournaments, or anything in general. All you can do is hope for the best the pro will be real/candid. If you want to ride go karts with MVG or golf with Lewis...more power to you.
Who would you pick for the multi mix of tips/training + actually hanging out?
Mine: Ted Hankey
Yeah, lot of people will give him grief about the person on the oche. BUT...he's a world champ and to this day has THE smoothest throw in the dart game.
I just feel like throwing darts/getting training tips would be just as fun drinking beers/hearing stories, etc... etc.. from Ted.
You just know it would be a genuinely fun/real experience...it wouldn't be talking to a company spokesman or hearing a sales pitch, it would be hanging out with a fellow dart player.
