Can anyone recommend some very durable stems?
I use an average/medium length but want to know some very durable ones, as I'm fed up buying them!

Nylon stems last forever. I use Cosmo's spinners #4 these I have been using for months

I use the cheap generic “durable nylon” shafts, used with cheap aluminum springs. I sandpaper off the tail end of each shaft so it comes to a crude point rather than the flat ends they have when I get them. I believe this cuts down on shaft damage caused by incoming darts and probably Robin Hoods as well without the bother and cost of punching flights and the added tail weight of pointed shaft end caps. The shafts I buy are dirt cheap, so I buy them in quantity whenever I place another vendor order.
I just finished a 10-week league season with the same sets of cheap nylon shafts, springs and flights (with pointed aluminum flight protectors) and that includes practice time at home. I think that qualifies as long-lasting. I’ve read other posts saying the cheap durable nylon shafts don’t last and that the aluminum springs are always breaking and causing an inordinate number of Robin Hoods, but I haven’t experienced any of those things.

RD nylon stems with rings come in big bags and last really well as do one80 and pro grips, I always punch my flights and usually change through boredom rather than damage

I use whizlocks. I think they are the best thing since sliced bread-people seem to either love them or hate them.
Started playing darts: Mid February 2015.
Darts used: Not having played for a long while, I am leaning towards my phase 5's.
I have just recently started to play again after a long hiatus.

Any of the above are great. I personally use black pro grips and have yet to break one.
One other tip would be to ensure that the points of your darts are rounded rather than sharp and pointy as this will help the incoming dart glide past the shaft tines as opposed to getting stuck in them

+1 for Pro Grips.
Ive used them for the past two years and they work great.
Ive used other stems, but keep going back to the Pro Grips.
