Another review of the Shot Digit darts, this is a review of the 23g series 1 model which is also available in 25g and there is the Series 0 which I reviewed here: https://www.dartsnutz.net/showthread.php?tid=13554 they are also available in soft tip. Again, I got them from Dartswarehouse.com they are an 80% tungsten dart with a very nice micro style grip called Digit grip and a slightly more aggressive ring grip in the scalloped sections. They retail for around £28 - £29 depending on the exchange rate with free delivery. You can find more info at Dartswarehouse.com here: Digit Series 1 darts

The darts have a kind of double scallop shape and like the series 0 they are kind of unique looking too. The series 1 model has less aggressive rings in the scallop sections than it was in the single centre section of the 0 model. It is still a high medium grip verging on a high level grip though.

WEIGHT:
Two barrels were fairly close in match but the third was sixteen hundredths of a gram heavier than the lightest barrel, still its nothing any one is likely to feel as its 1.6 tenths of a gram but nevertheless its out a little more than I would have expected Guests cannot see images in the messages. CONCLUSION:
Well I said in my review of the 22g series 0 how much I liked those darts but I like these even more! From my very first throw my grip just sat in that front scallop perfectly and it just felt so right there as if it had been made for me. I doubt if anyone will remember but I had posted a pic of some old 1950's or 60's Unicorn brass darts I had got, they had a similar front to these and I think they are called Swan Neck brass. I only ever had a few throws with those darts as they were in mint condition and I did not want to damage them but I remember how much I like that grip and these Shot Digit are even better than they felt. The Digit grip adds to it overall but the addition of the little sharp edged rings adds that little extra again. It is not as aggressive as on the Series 0 model but still has just the right level of grip for me.
Apart from feeling very comfortable with that front grip the darts flew really well from there and just seemed so well balanced it was effortless to throw them. I often say that sometimes holding a scallop is very comfortable but not always easy to release the dart from, I had no issues with these, they released nice and clean every throw Guests cannot see images in the messages. I tried from the centre and the rear too. I think if your a centre gripper you might possibly like them but I think the front and rear sections are probably the best spots to grip the darts and I definitely think its worth a try for front grippers.
Great darts! Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.
