Had an opponent say he lost because he needed a crap!

But the best one I ever heard was that they had seen a ghost behind the bar watching them!!

I'm sure he had seen something as he was white as a sheet and on edge, whether it was a ghost, jury's out on that one! Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

I heard someone say they lost because they were using the wrong color of shaft! They changed them to a different color but same length and said they fly better!??????

So for our leagues in most bars we play on a Galaxy 2:

Or a few have Galaxy 3:

But at larger tournaments we shoot on the old cougar valley boards:

I beat out a guy that said he lost because there are blue segments on the Valley boards and he was not used to shooting at blue.

the crap excuse I have used. When ya gotta go ya cant stand straight and concentrate.

my favorite one so far is.
was at the bar one night and wasn't planning on throwing. but someone told this guy I was pretty good so he kept taunting me. best me $50
Using the house darts (since I didn't have mine) I beat him pretty badly. His excuse was I was used to the bar darts and he wasn't!

meanwhile, was the first time I ever even seen the darts. And I beat him 5 games in a row.

shaft/flight color can sort of be credible as well. I would never use it but, I know if I don't like the look of my darts I get a mental block and play poorly. But not enough to use it as an excuse.
