Ripping the 1 Bed a new one
Hi,

It's me again!!

I'm having some issues with my game

I'm playing well and I'm close to the 60 and I mean close!!

The problem Is I'm suffering badly due to this apparent closeness

I'm close to the 60 but I'm landing in the 1 bed far too often which is hitting my average pretty hard.

I often score 22..41..24...It's a pain but I've taken a positive from the fact i'm near the 60 bed. i'm clearly not hitting the centre of the 20 I'm into the right hand side I tried moving slighlty yo the left and yet the same end result.

I think I need some fine tuning does that make sense?

What can I do to tune this issue I want my average to go up as I sticking around 41 just now and I aint happy about that.

Help me folks

I would move to the right a bit if you're a right hand..

I would actually not change a thing and keep plugging away. No one simple thing is going to stop you from drifting, but if you keep chugging away you'll start to see some improvements.

A lot of people mess with their natural throw for quick fixes which will only end up hurting them in the long run. As long as your mechanics are sound, keep practicing and it will come Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

my trip 1 is worn out lol but I agree with Cof. How ever move to the right just a little for a while and see if it helps - who knows good luck

During the World Championships Jacques Nieuwlaat (Mastercaller and commentates the darts on Dutch TV) said that if your darts end up more to the right you should move to the right behind the oche.

Ummm. Here Mate. When you say hitting the 1 Bed too often, and I'm refering to the Specific Darts doing this.. are we talking about always skiffing right over to the middle of, or the other side of the 1 Bed, or are we talking about just the other side of the Wire in the Trip or Single, or at least with-in a 5/7mm Radius from the Wire.

If it's the later mate just keep throwing, you don't need to change anything, just apply more Focus to moving that Fore-arm straight and down your line of sight, of course keeping that Elbow and upper arm still... they move out slightly to the your Fore-arm and Hand follow. And as Frankie Goes to Hollywood says...........Relax.

Hoestly, relaxing is the best advice possible. If I am tense I can't group my darts at all, but when I relax, I get the nice sound of metal hitting eachother and the flights scraping.
Started playing darts: Mid February 2015.

Darts used: Not having played for a long while, I am leaning towards my phase 5's.

I have just recently started to play again after a long hiatus.

Yeah Man.... It's an Ultra-Important sphere of Focus usage...

Get rid of the tension in yer Hand, Elbow, Arm, Shoulder.... and Focus on using only the Muscles necessary to make only the Fore-arm move forward and backwards. Also think about doing the same with yer other Arm, relax that too, get balance, find Ch'i with your relaxation....

Put in a couple hours a day playing online matches. Problem will fix itself in time.

Keep plugging away and it will click. It sounds like you are getting closer to the 60 bed rather than putting the darts in the big 20 so take that as a positive and relax and the darts will find their way

I agree with you Nathan as long as he's lining up in the same spot.
My additional advice Les would be to spend a practice session or two just solely on the bull to improve grouping Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

My father Merlin, once told me that "You should end up pointing to what you were aiming at when you've released the Dart."
