Portable Oche - Any Views?
Having a quick trawl around and found a portable oche from Ockeys R Us and wondered if anyone had any experience of using one and whether it was value for money?

I got the smaller one, works perfectly and mine was definitely value for money as I got if in the shop so no shipping costs Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

All I would say is it would probably be unstable on carpeted floor but is perfect on wooden floors and flat concrete, also has a sliding segment so you can get the oche mark spot on even with skirting, cabinets or uneven walls - 10/10 from me.

There's a video somewhere of a guy that made one exactly like that at home. Used used plywood and piano hinges.

They look great

Thanks it would be used on a wooden floor so should be stable enough. Looks a good product and would well in my home set-up. Will probably take the plunge and order one soon.

Would like to go down the DIY route but I doubt anything that I put together would look half as good! Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.
