1,2,3 method
Jst wanna say I've been using the 123 method, counting the phases of my throwing sequence and have seen improvement in my accuracy, whether it be treble 20 or any double I am certainly getting closer and my grouping has tightened, this forum is great for tips and guides for newbies like me, watch out mcg I'm coming for ya!!!

Hi there..Can u please brief on the "123 method" ??

Lifting your dart up to the board is phase 1, pulling your dart back is phase 2, and the release is phase 3, just count n your head 123 and in time your throw will become more consistent

That would put me off tbh. I find myself trying to remember too much as it is.

I find it helpful for my timing and technique and doing it enough times should train my arm to do it naturally, I realise its not a quick fix but at the moment its keeping holes out of the wifes wallpaper

I might try this. Hit a bit of a slump recently. Always feel like my last dart is dropping, maybe by doing this I can get a better rhythm and more consistency. Cheers.

I had a tendency to release my darts at different times but after using this method for a while the darts are following each other, hope it works for you too m8

I sort of did this when I was trying to get a consistent rhythm when I read the tips that I posted before getting my first 180, I think because your being consistent is what helps Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

I tried counting but it was too distracting for me.

The link you posted is always a good read Mr Getagrip and use it lots for groupings

I think in a way the counting when I did it was stopping me thinking so much about my technique, which may have been another factor in me hitting my first 180. I never tried it much after that as I felt I was only counting to develop a rhythm but felt as if I had got that right after practising, although I may be should try it again as things are not the same now Guests cannot see images in the messages. Most of us know but I didnt see the video posted, so...

Paul Lim calls it ABC

Phil Taylor does it too, he calls it "aim, draw back, fire." I cant find the video though. It might have been the preview for his newest DVD.
