i think if your behind the line , who cares ? right?

I think PT couldn’t ever trip over his pile of gold because the pile is taller than he is.

As far as I know there is no rule against playing with a cane or crutch bud, as long as his feet are behind the line whilst shooting. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

thats what i was thinking
when he told me that , my first thought was boy there are lucky i dont need a cane or a crutch , or they would have a large problem on there hands
they said it was a" unfair advantage" to use a crutch.lol

Does he lean right forward on it? It is a bit naughty, but I still think its legal :dodgy:

I don't think leaning forward on a crutch or cane is possible. If you are right handed, you stand with your right foot on the line, therefore the crutch/cane would be in your left hand and that would make for one hell of an awkward lean in my opinion.

As for the rules, I'm not sure, but I see no reason you can't use one if necessary and for safety to the player maneuvering about the line, board and back again.

no hobbles up to the line
holds crutch out far to the left for balance, fires away
not a great player , avg player at best
his problem will be fixed weeks after vegas
but what about someone that needs it for life ?
dont even no who he asked , but it didn't sound right to me , thats why i asked on here

Sounds discriminatory to not let the guy use a crutch or a cane. As long as his feet and the device are behind the oche, whats the big deal? Guys in wheelchairs can shoot, as long as they're behind the oche.
Current Match Setup:

DPC Gun Metal 25g w/ Voks Tornado points.

Steel tip rules you can use a crutch, cane, wheel chair but it has to be on the line or behind it, it is considered your foot

I've tried playing doubles a few years ago after I broke my ankle so I was on crutches. Nobody really knew the rule for it so I kept the crutch before the line and everyone agreed that it was fair. Unfortunately it turned out pretty bad for me as it is just a tad harder playing while on crutches, but that is where your partner comes in Guests cannot see images in the messages. Should be able to use it as long as it is behind the line. Didn't Bobby George use a cane for a time before he had his hip done. I know he wasn't playing competitively but still it is precedent.

I can't see it being a problem as long as the crutch is behind the line - not sure how often he comes online but maybe Wazza may know as he is something to do with the WDDA, or even Russ Strobel the founder of the WDDA may be able to help as well

I have no idea re the darts organizations, but used to play indoor bowls & one member had to support himself with a stick, as long as the stick was behind the yellow mats edge nearest the jack at the start of his shot & his rear foot was on the mat at release it was deemed good, & he played up to word championship level in a few different countries.
