Yes I usually throw 20/21Grm darts & got a 18Grm Harrows Avenger set in a job lot I aquired so thought I would give them a try, the Adda's I have are 2 grams each, with the 18g weight the best set up for my throw was midi/tweenie stem & pear or slim flights, with the extra 2g's it obviously tail loads the dart. I found to achieve a similar dart tracking & angle of my throw it was a toss up between midi & medium stems, but with either length standard flights in the 100/130 M thickness works best for me. I would think it's a trial & error job & depends a bit on how much patience you have They are not a bank breaking cost so it's not to bad if it doesn't work for you

Works wonders for me still! And it's dirt cheap!
Be sure to use the o-rings with them. There are several weight and finish options, with 1g and 2g being most common for 2Ba. There was a 0.45g option at DC before, but it seems to be gone now. If you use conversion points, you could also FRONT-load the dart instead of the rear. Shorter stems (1 step down, e.g., short to ultra short) are more comfortable if you're using them at the rear.
I've never seen any decent player use them. Personally I think it's kind of gimmicky and I can't see any reason to ever use them.
Sorry not for me - Buy a set of darts in the weight you want IMO or have them made. Don't go fishing with a Zebco junior reel for bull dophin is my opinion. But if ya like it you like it.
My issue with Add A Gram is weight distribution. It somewhat alters the darts' center of gravity. Not good.
There are other options in adding weights to a dart pin. Tungsten putty, EVA Technology (Japan), or choose a heavier set-up i.e. metal stems, thicker flights. |
