Practice every number and section on the board
Practice all the numbers. Its the wise and prudent thing to do. I know players who pound away at the treble 20's especially and then when game is on the line can't hit say a single 9 and lose the game. The grouping exercise in flight school solves this and is very important to your board craft. Even in premier league you see the occasional Pro screw himself because he has missed a single number. That's my 2 cents and opinion.

Sound advice, I am one of those guilty of hammering away at the T20, and do miss the odd big number when I'm trying to close the game!

What you say is true. I've got a can with small wood squares similar to Scrabble tiles and on them I have numbers from 41 to 100 written on them. I'll reach in the can, pull a tile and try to hit the out with darts in hand. You wind up using just about every number on the board to get to a double out-shot and it makes you concentrate on the first dart to set up your double.

Now I remember what it felt like to get a gold star on a school paper when a kid. Thanks for the memories.Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

My practice buddy and I use this a few times a month as a wrap up after a few series of 301, Cricket, 501. Every time you hit the out-shot in 3 darts you get a point and whoever has the highest point total wins and doesn't have to buy the beer for the next session. That is proper motivation in my book.

While waiting for a response from George to enter flight school this is exactly what I've been doing. Acclimatizing.
Beginners gotta begin.

1st trip around the world.... one dart> fat,little,double,triple, B,DB
2nd trip, same as the first but two darts per.

I'm on my 3rd trip around the world.... but I've attained some new knowledge and confidence. Confidence that I can shoot for any target on the board... Grouping and consistency are slowly taking shape.

It is awkward to say that some areas of the board seem to be more difficult to attain precision than others. I do believe though that a good shooter should be able to shoot anywhere they want blindfolded!.... after all, remember those circus acts where they throw knives at their partners with a blindfold on? ..... Never mind.

Some pro's also have this problem:
Bunting can't throw to the right, so he's standing on the oche far to the right  Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.
Barney throws also easier to the left, since he's standing also on the right of the oche. It made him WC  Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.
And Gary Anderson's only favourite down the bull is the triple 19, for the rest he's choosing up  Guests cannot see images in the messages. Where does one get a can of numbers?

Empty coffee can, pieces of stiff cardboard or wood with numbers written on them. Guests cannot see images in the messages.
