New Darts - PLEASE HELP
New to the site and this is my first post. I currently play with a long straight barrel (similar to Purist 2), but recently tried some “bullet" style darts and found them so comfortable and natural.

Therefore, I'm looking to change my darts and have been looking at:
Apollo Silica Target 24g Dart
Andy Fordham 24g Darts (Atomisied Grip)
Unicorn Phase 5
Phil Taylor Target 9 Five
John Lowe World Champion Darts
Target Perfect Storm 4 darts

Any help, will be greatly appreciated. Many Many Thanks.

All good darts, you might want to look at winmau Firefox & highlanders ,harrows alien & data dart bullet.
All depends on budget, I found a great bullet dart on eBay for £9.99 worth taking a look at.just type in master craft darts , should do the trick.
And welcome aboard fella.

You really can't go wrong with the Phase 5 26g (or the Mirage series with different weights) or a standard John Lowe....both are highly popular and considered the models all the other bullet darts are compared to.

It really comes down to one thing...grip level.

-You want a medium grip...get the John Lowe World Champs

-You want a sharper/heavier grip....get the Phase 5s or Phase 5 Mirages

Hi Tigerdude,

What weight are you interested in? I notice you listed 24g for a couple of sets on your list. The Unicorn Phase 5 only comes in 26g, but the Mirage is virtually the same dart in 22, 24, 26 or 28g.

The John Lowe WC come in odd weights 21-27g.

As far as I know the Target Apollo is discontinued (you may still find it on some web store sites).

Also, Red Dragon Darts has several bullet-shaped models you might want to take a look at:
Defenders-24g, 26g;
Chiefs-24g, 26g;
Double 16 Elite Grip 5-25g;
Grizzlys 5-24g, 26g;
Knights-24g, 26g;
Retros-24g;
Shockwave 2-24g, 26g, 28g.

Are gold Lowe WC being phased out? I'm seeing less and less availability on the major UK sites. They're either totally sold out or have one weight.

I stole this image off google image search but as you can see, they're one of the best looking bullet darts every made.

Some great suggestions above I guess it depends on how much grip you need.

I missed the reintroduction of these, I've a set of the original marksman
These were my first tungsten bullet dart, and I highly rate them too.
I think unicorn put legal pressure on McCoy to with draw them.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. I've pretty much always used 24g and used to throw with Red Dragon Penetrators and then moved onto the sharp grip of the Red Dragon Double 16's.

Budget not really an issue, as I want a nice new set, but just a bit torn. I was swaying towards the Apollo Silica's Or the Andy Fordham's to be honest, but now I'm not sure.

Not such about grip. I like a good grip, but the Double 16's are a little too much so. I had some Hexoset Darts when they first came out (with hardly any grip) and couldn't get on with them.
