Hi, I never gotten to post a few videos of the GRANBOARD Dart board for soft tip practicing at home.
I started playing darts about 8 months ago and fell in love with the electronic dart-boards by DartsLive and right off the bat I purchased a 100S made by Dartslive. Since that board replicated the sounds that was like the machines available at our local bar. It was great to use.
An issue with that board was it was not the same, it was great for practice but it just wasn't the same as going out to play with some friends and as well there were no "global" system installed at home.
Since then GRANBOARD was developed and videos were popping out and I thought I had to have it as it wirelessly connects to my iPad or iPhone (Android compatible as well) and I was able to have a screen more similar than the crappy screen that was attached to the 100S.
I have then set the board up and played, it was a great tool for gatherings at home since it introduces a lot of people to the game and it was extremely easy to pick up and not as intimidating as a steel-tip board. Has to do with a pretty screen, sounds and easy to learn without doing much calculations like the old fashion way. (This was how I picked up playing darts as well)
From what I have gathered, GRANBOARD now was global play and you can actually connect with friends to play but I don't have a friend that has installed theirs yet so I am just settling with practicing and using it when having friends over.
Setting up an account was not easy as I did not speak Japanese nor can I read it, but ended up getting some help from a Japanese friend. (Since then in the GranBoard thread of this forum there is a translation picture which will tell you how to set it up)
I have attached links to some REALLY REALLY CRAPPY videos filmed by yours truly on an iPhone at 5 am..... just to show the interface of the iPad.
If you guys have any questions please feel free to ask and I'll provide answers to the best of my ability.
Cheers
Jeff
