Iv noticed that during drawing back the dart my elbow comes up just before transitioning into pushing and the more I try to fix it the worse it's getting..Now it might always have been there but I've never noticed it until now.It would explain a lot of the stray darts I've a tendency to throw from time to time.Ive tried shortening drawback but then all my darts drop short.Ive heard if elbow drop but not up, any ideas on how to combat this? Because I'm baffled

Extra movement seems to happen with any case of dartitis. I had a severe case of it back in the late 90's. Now I have all sorts of extra movement when I throw because I can't release the dart if I stop at any point during the throw. Most people that have had it do all sorts of strange things on the line. Think of Bristow.
I only mention that because of what you said earlier about dartitis.

I used to care about how it looked but now I just throw the darn thing. If it goes where I want that's good enough. Are you throwing accurate? Maybe you need to throw more if you can't hit the mark?

I'm probably throwing better than I ever have tbh. I couldn't care less how my throw looks but I'm just trying to eliminate all extra places that problems can come from.My arm is just something i recently noticed.
First up for change,my grip (I basically have my my ring and middle finger on the point and I do some sort of spinning thing when drawing back and my thumb ends up on the point too with my index finger just pointing up doing nothing

If your elbow is raising upwards then it wont be the movement of your forearm that's causing it, it will be your shoulder.

I think if you draw back to the side of your head as far as possible is when the elbow lifts, if your drawback is short then it will only be the forearm that moves so the elbow should stay still.

I saw someone combat this by having someone else place an arm above his own when he did the drawback for a few rounds.
