I bought these darts a while ago actually, I think it may have been when he was around 5 or 6 models in. I liked the look of them and thought they would be a nice shape for my throw.
They cost £26.90 from Red Dragon and are the Snakebite 3 model which is also available in silver and has 2 weights 22 and 26 grams. The silver version is quite a bit cheaper at present at £17.90 and the original 26g Snakebite 2 26 bronze version is £25.90, all the same design just different coatings. You can buy them here: Snakebite 3
The darts are 90% tungsten with a black pvd coating and come in a tri-fold wallet with a point protector, medium alloy stems, 2 sets of standard flights. There is no rubber "O" rings fitted to the alloy stems which is very annoying as they did not stay tight on the barrels so I had to swap for some nylons.

To me the black pvd coating was more like a darkish grey colour but on the smooth sections of the barrel it did have a nice tacky dry grip feeling but I guess with time like all coatings it will wear which is to be expected. The main grip of the barrel is a kind of shallow angled shark grip which had a fair amount of bite and was a very nice grip on the whole, I would say its just about a high level.

WEIGHT:
Matching of the barrels is a little mixed but its not far off the stated weight so nothing to really complain about but the difference between lightest and heaviest is 1.2 tenths of a gram, nothing I don't think anyone would notice unless your pedantic like me and weigh them lol Guests cannot see images in the messages. BALANCE:
With nothing attached the balance was just front of centre:

With the supplied set up the balance moved pretty much bang in the middle of the barrel:

Balance with my own medium, short and extra short nylon stems and standard 100 micron flights:

I gripped these darts just in front of centre kind of half on the smooth and half on the shark grip:

Darts landed in quite an upward angle in the board:

CONCLUSION:
These are rather nice darts to throw for me. They work quite well with my slightly loopy throw and were pretty nicely balance with my grip but I think they may have been a little better balanced with a centre or slightly to the rear grip. I was more than happy with how they flew though and quite enjoyed throwing them.
The coating has a similar feel to the dry tacky feel I got on the Silica darts its a difficult thing to describe but it does add to the grip on the smooth sections. I don't think it really does much on the main shark style grip though as the physical nature of that grip there overpowers any affect from the coating.
The razor/shark style grip has a very nice feel to it also and I think it helps in the forward pushing of the dart.
The darts held a nice steady line through the air and felt nicely weighted to me, I think because they are only short barrels is probably why they felt so balanced in my frontish grip.
Not sure these will suit people who grip very near to the rear or if you really have to grip at the very nose too, I kind of moved my grip up a little but was comfortable with it. I think centre grippers and people who like to grip just a little past centre may find the dart very nicely balanced so could be worth giving them a go.
