Darts - Pro's throw
Great post.
Noticed Steve Beaton's follow through didn't end in a full extension.Man is he ever smooth though !
Phil Taylor's release point seems to be very early in his throw, but he still has a full follow through extension.
MVG's follow through is amazing..
And.....I'd be happy with any one of those. Rolleyes

Great post on this. Masters at task. Seems they all point to their target to finish the throw. I have soooooo much work to do!

Here is a compilation video of most pros throwing...

These are Japanese soft tip pros but they use the similar grid lines as with Jenkins video above.

Most of the pro soft tip throwers have textbook quality throws.

I think Ian White has a very good throw, its very straight looking from the front view he has a good steady action overall too.

I watched all of these several times and it seems that for all but 1 or 2 they do not move their elbow until the dart is already gone from their hand.

I have to check myself because I know in trying to get a full extension on my stroke my elbow moves but not sure when the dart leaves my hand before, during or after movement. Could this be a problem in my accuracy?

Is this something many of you practiced in developing your stroke or is it just something that normally happens and you can not feel it?

your elbow will or should only move when your arm is straightened, its impossible for it not to move when you straighten it.
