Scallop/bulbous dart recommendation
Evening all,

I have been looking for a scalloped/bulbous dart in which my thumb can sit in.
I am looking for a barrel between 49-51mm length
I have narrowed it down to the following but I am very much open to suggestions from the forum.   Smile
Any help/advice/guidance would be much appreciated

I have the Strix in 24g and love them. They have good grip that continues over the nose which I like. I am a front - mid gripper and they fly extremely well.

You could consider the the Target Carrera C10's as well. They have the pixel grip and are a superb dart. I have those in 24g also.

Others to consider would be: Winmau Dennis Priestly's

and Shot Makoto's

Good luck on your hunt.

Have you considered the Cosmo Justin Pipes? 23.9g and so so nice!

I second this motion... A true classic.

I'll put in a tertiary vote. I have had this set saved in my "Favorites" list on Darts Corner for awhile for a future purchase.

I'll throw this out as a potential alternative. The Harrows Assassin Expert AX3. Not exactly a "bulbous" front end per se, but a very similar design as the Cosmo Justin Pipe. I know it's a soft tip, but with a conversion point and tungsten putty, it might be a less expensive option just to see if it's really the dart type for which you're looking. Just a thought.

The nice thing for me with the Pipes, they're 23.9g, 90% but not too thin, I hate a thin dart with a scallop as it goes to nothing, they're "meaty" without being fat, wish I'd had sense and not sold mine (same with a lot of others but sold for bad reasons and was a very silly boy!)

But get them, some size 3 cosmo stems, superkites flights, fit 50mm points, you'll genuinely not have as much fun and as much of a challenge as using the full Pipe setup! It's truly sublime!

If it can be shorter, then the Designa Stamina might be an option.

Harrows Elite have a nice introduction to a very small scalloped dart and slightly bulbous.

Hard to tell in the photos but I had them and they definitly feel like they have a mild scallop .good for reference.

Hi all,

Thank you for your recommendations I did look at the pipes but it’s a expensive dart for an experiment to see if it suits me.

I ended up going for these at 17.49 I think it’s a bargain I’m looking forward to them arriving :-)[Image: nU2id0B.png]

I think that's a great option at a great price! I'd like to know that you think about them once they arrive and you get a chance to throw them. Smile
