Alternative to Red Dragon Razor Edge Darts ?
Can anyone point me in the direction of some darts similar to Red Dragon Razor Edge black or winmau sabotage.

I have gone through so many sets it is getting out of hand.
They seem to wear fairly quick, although I guess I do practice lots.
I love the shape particularly the nose as my finger sits perfectly underneath and the length and grip ( when new ) are all good.

I tried the winmau sabotage but they didn't seem to last much longer. Pretty much identical darts.

So I am hunting for something very close ( especially the nose ) that hopefully will last longer.
I realise I will probably have to sacrifice a bit of grip.

Forgot to say I use 20 or 21 gram.

Any ideas would be most welcome.

Sadly shark grip just doesn't wear well at all, chips & scuffs really easily and looks very old very fast, no matter the brand!

I just went looking for some Designa Razor grip darts for you but looks like they have been discontinued. They were almost exactly the same shape and dimensions as the RD Razor Edge.

There were gold and came in 21g, 23g and 26g

It might be worth writing to Darts corner and asking about them. I bought some back in Feb this year.  The code for the 21g model was D8234.

As an alternative with different but amazing grip, check out the Datadart Sawtooth darts. Can't see the grip on those fading.

This is true. Have a read through this topic I started on razor grip darts not long ago. There is a comparison pic too. I like the more aggressive Unicorn Core XL T95 grip best out of those 3 but it does wear really quickly. They still feel fine to throw but they look awful in places. It seems like this is a necessary evil if you choose razor grip darts. Those discontinued Designa golds look very nice

Thanks so much for all the replies.
I have tried Jamie Lewis as they are pretty much razor darts but where I grip was on the rings I seem to recall.

Tried the sawtooth once and found them actually to grippy. They would fly off at all angles, so I sold them

I have just brought a used set of Freestyle and waiting for them to arrive. They look really nice.

Not tried the Designa. I will try and find some.

I even spent £90 on a set of Micky Mansell Cosmo darts once.
They are so nice to look at but the grip was insane. I just could not get them to go anywhere near where I was aiming.

Thanks again everyone and any more ideas are most welcome.

Pretty much middle grip. Although these darts really look.good and looks like they could be held from the middle.
Thanks for finding these out.

Quick update on my search.
I have managed to find some unicorn t95 core xl.
They are ordered.

I already brought a set of the red dragon freestyle.
Just waiting for them to arrive.

Also the quantum darts look amazing. I think I may end up pulling the trigger and getting those.

Luckily I have just sold quite a few sets so it helps with the cost.
