What shape is this?
I used these darts for a couple of seasons a few years back before moving to straight barrels. This week i picked them up again and found them very easy to throw. So I'm looking for similar barrels because they aren't made any more. They are designa Megagrips/ NR2803.

What Shape would you describe these as?

They are quite thick and straight on the ring grips, with a gentle taper at the nose with razor grip.

My grip is: index finger on the very rear of the barrel, thumb on the ring grips, middle finger on the razor grip.

Anyone got any recommendations for similar?

Stiletto or carrot?

My Designa copper tungsten stiletto's are the same sort of shape - long lean front taper nice thin ring grip on the mid rear bit and a nice rear taper that is great if you grip way at the back.

Maybe...
one80 Regulators -- reflex tip small tight shark grip over the majority of the barrel.
Cosmo Juggler/Juggler Queen 3rd with a slinky conversion point. (Expensive though!)

perhaps the Mikuru Suzuki darts from Green Room or Target

I've just found that Designa still do a similar barrel but in their Black shadow series. Might give those a try.

Jester

Tommys/Pure Darts has the McCoy Darts in different weights.

They also have the Dart like yours.

These are my current 'match' dart.

I'm also a rear gripper and like the grip at the very rear of the dart.

By far the most suitable thing I own for rear gripping right now.

As a side note, i think almost anything in this shape is considered 'rear weighted', so the darts arent going to stand tall like seems to be all the rage at the moment. For me they sit at about 10-20 degrees up.

good darts!
