Should Norwich be Kelvin not Kevin Self?

Never hear of him to be honest so it could be - I saw the name on twitter and probably just copied it down wrong.

I've entered the one in Chorlton this Saturday. £8 and a free pint. More chance of platting sawdust than winning it but gonna be good experience as usual.

Rnd 1 - BYE
Rnd 2 - played a mate of mine who is really decent; went 0-2 down but came back and won 4-2.  Last leg hit a ton check out: s20, d20, d20 which was nice
Rnd 3 - lost 0-4; gutted as if I'd sneaked through that I would have been in the last 8.  To be fair I'd have likely played Wes Newton so not sure I'd have made the last 4 after that  Big Grin

Was a decent enough day but due to the number of boards vs number of entrants and the draw, it's a bloody long day.  Got there for 11:30 to ensure I was registered and because of the bye, my first game wasn't until 16:20.  My next game wasn't until  18:10.  Not gonna criticise the people organising it - they can only work with what they have and they can't control the number of entrants but there were 115 entrants and 6 boards open.

Had a cracking day though as I had a bloody good drink in the process  Big Grin Cool

Cracking story m8.

Did u have to chalk after??

Always a good experience. I played a local tourney a few years ago and some of the entrants were

Dennis smith
Gary Stafford
Paul hogan
Arron monk
Andy Jenkins (won it)
Les Wallace

I lost my first round match 0-3 to a local county player at about 2pm having registered at 9am!

Even if I'd won I'd have got monstered by one of the above!

Looooong day!!!
