Given the QSchool entries I would expect a couple of the players at least to get tour cards and miss this event on the mens side - as far as the ladies event is concerned, the current champion Mikuru Suzuki will not be there defending her title as she will be back in Japan for Stage 17 of the Japan soft tip tour.

One of the terms in in the PDC players contract says tour card holders are not allowed to participate in another organisations events if they are either televised or streamed - as this event is streamed then PDC rules say they should not be allowed to play.

As it is the first event after QSchool and the first official event they can enter is the first pro tour weekend 8/9 February, then they may be able to get permission from the PDC board although not sure they would be allowed.

Looks like they may be able to play - just seen a post on facebook from Nick Kenny saying this is his last event before officially becoming a PDC player.

As an aside it's actually the second event after QSchool - I forgot there was the Romanian Darts Festival this coming weekend.

Draws now online and initial post updated

Not sure if Lisa Ashton or Wesley Harms or any of the other new tour card holders will be playing in this, but as well as Nick Kenny it seems Martijn Kleermaker has been given dispensation by the PDC to play in this event, both singles and pairs.

This is on stream now - Kleermaker & van tergouw just won their pairs.
