Chizzy wins his match 6-2 by throwing his "B" game for the most part.

Thoughts on Nicholson commentating? Sounds like a real plonker to me, like a pound shop Sid wannabe

Absolutely detested him as a player but I dont mind his commentary. Better than that dull Rob Malarky or whatever his name is.

Nicho has a lot of great insight but at the same time he tries way too hard. Like he always wants to say something clever or funny. And that results in talking a lot of nonsense too.

Exactly my thoughts, clearly knows his stuff but tries way too hard to be clever or cultured. Makes me cringe

He's definitely more congenial as a commentator as opposed to that Bad Boy image he tried to portray as a player because he never really lived up to it no matter how hard he tried, how much he wore sunglasses and scowled during the walk-on, and it totally dissolved when he started crying on stage a few years back as he was losing his match-----------Bad Boys don't cry.

To me, the real Sid wannabe is Wayne Mardle.    He tries too hard to be funny and witty, often coming off like oleo to real butter.

MvG a bit fortunate to take his match against Mensur 6-4 and it showed by his reaction/look on his melon at the end.

Rapid Ricky Evans made another "Rapid Exit" in his game with Chizzy. At least he made it to the 3rd round this time.

I've got a feeling he's going to be just a footnote in PDC history in the next couple years unless he gets his game together.

Great match between Wade and Jones.
Jones breaker early and takes a 2-0 lead, but Wade back with 5 straight legs.
Jones comes back to tie and gets a match dart attempting 160 checkout on the final leg, Wade sitting on 40 finishes it off for a 6-5 win.

Cheers

Has anyone else noticed how quiet this crowd is compared to many other PDC events. Haven't heard much singing, whistling, booing, etc., just polite applause and the occasional crowd roar for good darts thrown. Kind of refreshing to see this to be honest.
