Dart Advise needed
Hi all, having very recently gone up to a 24 gram dart (from 21-22gram) i am now looking for a straight barrel, center/even weighted, 50-51mm long, 6.4mm wide 24 gram dart, prefer ring grip, (absolutely no shark/razor grip lol)
had a look on DC dart selector but don't like the price of most of them lol, and the more i look the more confused i get,  prefer really cheap, less that £25, otherwise it is off to Argos for the old Nicholson darts, which i am not sure i like. Any thoughts gratefully received.
cheers Carpy

Sounds to me like you need Winmau navigators to learn the ways of the ring grip!

Lots of other sets also around in the Facebook trading groups

I think 6.4 width is going to be tough to match with your other requirements of 24 g, 51 mm, and inexpensive.

A couple cheap close options:
V180 Mark McGeeny, 22.5.  I have these and find them very excellent.

A couple other of the V180 darts are close as well, but be careful on the James Richardson 25 g.  No way those dimensions are accurate.

Designa Dark Thunder is also close, but well over 6.4 mm in 24 g.

You should also check the DartsClearance page on eBay.  Here's the US link to another great dart that's close and inexpensive:

EDIT: oops looks like DartClearance is out of stock in 24g. You could try emailing to see when they'll be back in stock.

I'd give Red Dragon a look.

The Hellfire A is 6.6mm thick 50.8mm but just £12-50
a more serious option are the 95% tungsten
Dragonfly 3 at 6.35mm and also 50.8mm and £29-90.

Wes Harms' 24g has the sort of size you want but micro grooves on the front.
Ryk is currently using:-
 鈴木 未来  Jadeite 24g
::  L-Shaft Locked Slim 300 Emerald :: Metal Champagne Ring Aqua :: - L-Flight Dimple Solid Emerald  :: Winmau Blade 6 ::

One more I thought of:
Designa Black Shadow, 23 g

Datadart icon or winmau sub zero are spot on dimensions wise but both are around £30. Quite a few sets of gen 1 O’Shea darts come up on eBay and they would be perfect for you

Thank rich, i am using the O'Shea@s, but find they are lacking a bit of grip for me, so something similar but with more defined rings may be what i am looking for.

Thanks Ryk, at the moment it looks like either the Dragonfly 3 or the Amberjack 18.

Not got them but those Amberjacks have black paint... that if you give them a quick dunk in a bath of acetone, will remove the paint and could step up the grip level, which I've heard isn't that high - but you have the option with them to improve the grip level if it isn't as high as you need. (The Orange paint will also fall away under the effects of acetone solvent.)
