R.I.P. Dr John
I think Dr John will be truly missed as an icon in the music industry and for those living in New Orleans especially it must have been a shock.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

I first heard Dr John when watching "The last waltz" by the Band there is also a great video on you tube of him playing boogie woogie with Jools Holland.

One of a long list of musicians that have put New Orleans on the map. The man had the better part of 6 decades of playing music and his style of play and singing certainly couldn't be confused with anyone else.
