The weight I don't know but my Daytona Fire's came with carbon shafts and they broke just as fast as I replaced them....really didn't see the advantage.Just my 2 cents.

They should weigh about the same as nylon.  At least the Supergrips do, and I can't see Pro Grips being much different.  The 2nd thread is Grip's review of the Supergrip Carbons, check the bottom for weights.  Medium is 1.1g:

I have my Daytona Fires over a year now....possibly a bit more and I am on the original stems still so they must be quite decent. ;-)
In saying that, I never really wreck stems....only flights from usual grouping etc.

I guess it depends on how your using them.....I was mainly throwing soft tip when I got them and the bounce outs on the concrete bar floors did me no favors....lol never used them again so I don't know about steel...I should have been more specific. Cheers

Id say any dart falling onto a solid floor runs the risk of damage.
Yes - I'd say they are more brittle than standard plastic ones if hit on a floor.
In saying that, I don't actually know the benefits versus regular nylon stems...
