2019 German Darts Open
Knowing how Luke feels, I must say I pray he will get stronger after this. He has so much talent, and I would love to see him battle through this.

Yeah, hope all goes well for the young man.

And about Barney, let's hope Target make a similar set of those Triple B darts in the future (I know about the Argos set.)

Not seen Barney this weekend, but my guess is he'll most likely continue to play with the Triple B's for the rest of the year as they seem to be working for him, then Target will bring out a copy of them as a Legacy set just before the Worlds packaged similar to the Taylor set when he retired

Ahead 5-2 I believe at one time and Wade just pulled off what he does best, not panic and just put in leg after leg to win.

Noticed how Humphries lady friend left her seat when the match was closing out and not looking too good for Luke.

Feel bad now after making the above comment and seeing Luke's comments post match just now.  Hopefully the young lad can get it sorted not just for darts, but for his day to day life as well.

Wish him all the best.
Well said GWN.  Afraid I made light of it as well, not knowing all the facts.  Hope he gets the advice he needs.  Pro darts is tough enough without having anxiety issues.  All the best Luke.
Not managed to catch any of the afternoons action, and not sure about the evening as I've still got lots to do round the flat, but this afternoons third round scores were:

Dave Chisnall 6-1 Peter Wright

Nathan Aspinall 6-2 James Wade

He's set to quit darts...

Just been looking on facebook and he isn't quitting the game but is taking a break - here is his statement from the Darts News facebook page:

Statement from the 24 year old..

“I’m so sorry guys to lose that match but i must come clean and be honest with something that I’m not necessarily ashamed of but something I have been struggling for about 18 months now and that I do have a very bad panic and anxiety disorder which does affect not only everyday life but my job as a professional dart player. For me it’s a time to reflect and see if I either have to stop playing darts now which would be totally heartbreaking or get some specialist help and make a return in the near future but I have to walk away at this moment in time. Thanks for everybody’s support in the last few years it’s very much appreciated.”

Then he posted a reply on the thread/status a couple of hours later as follows:

I would just like to comment and say I am not quitting from darts... I am saying that I’m taking a break for aslong as it takes to get myself better and hopefully it won’t be forever. But with the right help it may not take myself long but I won’t rush it.... thanks to everyone for the kind comments on this post. but the article is untrue I will not be quitting altogether

Not a lot to say really apart from good luck in getting the help you need Luke and hope to see you back on the oche once you are ready to come back.

Good luck Luke! Get the right help, and you'll beat this. Looking forward to seeing you again on the oche!
Would've been great to see the Diamond nab a tv title. MVG just too good.

Does anyone know what the story was in the Beaton-Price game? They've generally got along pretty good, but Gerwyn seemed very pissed off.
