Scottish clan flights
Hey fellow Nuts, I am looking for a website that I can purchase some Scottish clan themed flights, but I am not finding much out there. I would think it would be a popular thing to use you family colors on the darts.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Admittedly, I only spent 5 minutes browsing, this work stuff has to go Undecided

I can't recall seeing any tartan ones other than old Jocky Wilson, or Unicorn do some for Anderson, but if it's a specific tartan you are looking for you may be better off using the Red Dragon flight designer on the following link, or try contacting Mark Cross/Doncaster Print on facebook as they do custom flights as well.

Just did a quick search for tartan over at Darts Corner and they do some - don't know if any of these are your clan though

Not really proper tartans - but from what I know Tartans were made up just a couple of hundred years ago as a marketing scam in the 19th century - but they look cool I guess... if you like to wear a skirt in public... what ever floats your Haggis.

I've actually got a couple of sets of the Yellow ones - pretty tough flights.

Thanks for the quick reply MC, I didn't know the flight designer was a thing, but that might be useful. I was thinking that if the tartan theme was popular, maybe the other family crest symbols would be too. I'm looking more for something like my avitar, so maybe designing my own would be the way to go.

No not a scam, they were outlawed after the battle of culloden and came back in a big way in the 19th century. With advances in dye and some family tartans being lost some new tartans or modern versions were made.
There have been many new tartans created since then but tartan wasn't created in the 19th century, just reintroduced.

There are ancient versions of tartans using colours more similar to the dyes used in the day, my family tartan has a modern and an ancient. Both are similar but the ancient is lighter with not so bold colours.
