Wonder if this will usher in a new era of darts in Japan?

Looks like May the 1st could be the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia's Era for the rest of Japan.

Just watched a few minutes of this - player threw 3 darts at the bull / 25 area, all three bounced out and all three still registered as 50 points. The player before hit 2 25s and a bull, scored 150 points.

Goodness me.

Well Mikuru Suzuki didn't win ... but she wasn't in Japan(*), so we'll excuse her for that... but the Japanese Ladies now has a new name to top the overall point scoring table for the season, first new face since the end of the 2015 season, way back when Yuriko Yamaguchi took the title!

Well done to Natsuki Adachi who not only won today but is now Ichiban Lady Player in Japan... wow Japan changes just one Emperor and everything is up in the air!

Is the Mikuru Era over like the Heisei one?

The Mikuru age returns! - but she had a few tough games toward the end...

(Round Robin Round)
Natsumi Iwata - 2-1 (The last player to beat Mikuru in a Japan Tour final)
Hiromi Sakuma - 2-0
Asuka Takahashi 2-0
Eriko Saito 2-0

Which let Mikuru top her group but was only 2nd rank of the qualifiers behind Ekono Aoki

*** The Knockout Stages ***
Last 64 - Eriko Tomiyama 2-0
Last 32 - Mana Kawakami 2-0
Last 16 - Yukie Sakaguchi 3-0
Last 8 (Quarter finals) - Yukina Chiba 3-1
Semi Final - Miyu Miyawaki 3-2
Final - Mariko Kimura 3-2

Mariko Kimura did charge off into a 2-0 lead in the final and even had a dart to win the final in the 4th leg.... But then Mikuru activated her fox force five powers and got the win.

Natsuki Adachi (The Ladies series leader after 3 rounds) was knocked out at the last 16 stage by Mei Takahashi (3-2). So will have to run the round robin rounds alongside Yukie Sakaguchi and everyone else that didn't make it to the last 8 in Fukushima.

(Sorry for any typographical errors - Ryk is not too good in English and Japanese is much very terrible.)
