The Finnish chap with glasses seemed a very good player, and his partner wasn't too bad either - shame they didn't progress.

Luckily I didn't blink or I would have missed the Netherlands vs. Spain match.

Both Finnish guys wore glasses Big Grin

Oh well, umm, the younger looking one!

Wright less than convincing on that one, but Scotland prevails 2-0.

Daughter just left so looking through the scores - doesn't look like there were any shocks this afternoon. And Caris obviously didn't get the end to his career that he was hoping for losing 4-0 with a 69 average - not a bad career all told, although I've just seen his age and must admit I thought he was a lot older than 50 lol.

Yeah, Caris is probably one of those guys that looked old at 30, kind of like the American actor, William Macy.

Good opener by Dawson there.  Solid last leg against the throw in a rather scrappy opening set. inthere

Great stuff by Dawson and Jim there. mint

Whitlock/Anderson not at their best, but the Canadian lads can play better too.  However, a win is a win that's a win. Big Grin

My thoughts exactly - nice to see them get the win.

Didn't watch any of the action yesterday but just been looking at last nights scores - well played Willie O'Connor, even MVG would have struggled to beat a 115 average.  Mensur with a 113 as well.  Doesn't look like anything too spectacular in any of the other matches.  I still can't believe Caris is only 50 though lol.

Anyway, yesterdays second round scores:
