Sharing Imgur Albums
Sharing Imgur Albums on the Forum

Sometimes we have an album of pictures we'd like to share.  You could select each image on Imgur, get the bbcode share link, and paste each into your post individually. Or you could do it all in one go.  Here's how:

Select the album you want to share.  Find and open the "View Image Info" pull-down:

Select "Generate Image Links":

Select the images to generate links.  Finish with "Done":

Select the option labelled "BBCode (message boards and forums).  N.B. Do not select the one labelled "Linked BBCode".  That option doesn't work well on forums like ours:

Copy the links generated with "CTRL +C" or right mouse click on a PC.  Other devices, you're probably using an app anyway, so check your app documentation.  Or ask them!  Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

Now paste the links in your post.  Done!

Well maybe not.  If you're fussy like me, or building a fancy post for something like a review (or guide Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images. ), you might want to resize those pics for a nice symmetrical look.

You can do this using a simple trick I've shared before, but let's go into a bit more detail.  With Imgur links, you can edit the actual link to resize the picture.  Place a letter just before the file extension, which is usually ".jpg" or ".png" for digital camera photos.  The chart below summarizes the effect:

s = Small Square (90×90)
b = Big Square (160×160)
t = Small Thumbnail (160×160)
m = Medium Thumbnail (320×320)
l (lower case 'L') = Large Thumbnail (640×640)
h = Huge Thumbnail (1024×1024)

Place just before extension:

Resize to 320 X 320 thumbnail:

N.B. The above are links, not embedded images, so doesn't work quite the same way.  Just illustrating where to place the letter code.  How to see the actual embedded link?  Well it's visible in the quick reply editor by default.  Or in the main editor, turn on the "View Source" function.  See red arrow in the screenshot below:

I resized most of the pictures in this guide using the "h" option.  So resized to 1024 X 1024. This increases readability, and makes your post more visually appealing!

Good darting and good posting! Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

Awesome .-) It works. Here and there one wants to reply to a post and let the picture in the reply and it's good to know how to resize those pictures. I always looked for some numbers to be rewritten while it's just letters what does the trick :-)

Yeah, comes in handy with Imgur links.  Nice resize on the quote! Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.
