How often do you practice?
With all that practice of everyone, no wonder the 'show us your...' sections are so packed with all those beautiful 180s and hatties, lol!

I practice one hour a day. After warming up at the bull (usually about 15 minutes) I start around the clock singles and doubles, then I finish with 501 vs the pc, at different averages...

If it's a working day then I don't, I work three 12 hour shifts a week so my day is a write off basically!!

On my days off I usually play for 1-3 hours. I've often thought about breaking it down and playing for an hour 2/3 times a day instead of just one solid session.

I try to get in some practice everyday, a few times a day, I prefer shorter sessions over one long session.

There's some recognised learning/practicing technique called pomodoro where you learn/practice for two 25 minutes sessions with a break of 5 minutes in between. This, apparently, achieves the maximum results according to science.

I distinguish between Practice and learning sessions.

Holy hell so I had a breakthrough moment last night. While I was at work I was watching the Paul Nicholsons Darts school videos on youtube and the video about his eye dominance really changed my thinking. I had always thought I was right eye dominate which apparently is not the case. I also am now holding the dart more horizontally when I am aiming (before I was holding it vertically and I think my throw was not as consistent). Needless to say I woke up this morning and threw five hat tricks which I think ties my lifetime amount lol. Def would suggest those videos if you are stuggling they are quite short. I also had a 7 mark and 6 mark in a online cricket match which has never happened either.

Even if it's a very short time, like 20-30 mins, I'll have a throw.

I'm with you

Me too. When I have the time to get a long session in, I take breaks when I have a lack of concentration, but it is my feet that decide when it's time to call it a day
