Can see Gurney overtake Ando as No.4 (watch him lose quite quickly today) - actually if Gurney wins the tournament, does he go to World No.3?

Yes, he would overtake Wright in that case and would be world no.3. Same goes for Michael Smith if he were to win the event.

I feel that Wright’s going to slide down the rankings anyway.  No consistency and he’s been horrible on the doubles.  I’m starting to think that he needs to stop fiddling with his darts and hit doubles on his practice board.  IMO.

I fear he will go out with a whimper!

Taylor went out on a. Matchplay  win and wc final.

Rvb risks disappearing via non qualification

Looks like his game has totally 'gone'

Too true - won't even be in the World Cup unless MVG tries to pull some 'strings'.

If so, it would be a shame for Wattimena as he'll earn it.

Just been looking at this afternoons scores and I feel I have to bump this one - well done Cristo beating Richard North meaning Barney is now outside the top 32

MvG has not to pull any strings. Selection for the World Cup is completely at the discretion of the PDC. They can pick, who they like.

Can't work. It out but looks to me like a combo of%

Health
Those new darts
Practice/motivation

I fear he basically did this year for the Premier league payout and maybe the money of the 2 x WC he wanted to do.

Given how far his game has slipped he can't be practicing like he used to?

Agreed, it's sad with RVB as he doesn't look motivated and I feel the Premier League or the World Cup of Darts maybe the last time we see him on TV. I hope I'm wrong but I think he's really needs to change his darts set up as I don't think they suit him. Think he plays better with his Target Gen 1's than the Gen 2's.

Tomorrow's draw is this:

Cross vs. Payne
M. Smith vs. Beaton

Glad to see Beaton getting deep into this one.

I agree about Beaton, however, I think M. Smith’s going to be the end for him.

The way I see it:

Cross, M. smith, Price and Aspinall to the Semifinals.

He had a bad night of darts.  He was up 3 - 0, then led a leg off with a 13, and never fully recovered.  He had a few good legs after his prayer, but he was very wishy-washy.
