2019 World Series schedule
That's true to some extent I guess. Even then, it's more reason for the PDC to really give the spots to guys who deserve it, instead of someone like Durrant who just got his tour card

I don't think so personally, he wouldn't be a bigger draw, than most of the players competing. I don't think it's worth it for the PDC to put him into an event in the expense of others, who deserve it more.

Albeit not the same draw it was years back, he is still a reigning and three time back to back BDO World Champion and I just think the PDC marketing machine could run with it. Possibly not though with the lack of Far East events though, I was thinking that was where they might slip him in.

Is there a reason the Sydney Darts masters no longer exists?

It's not been held in Sydney for a couple of years now, and also nothing on the west side of Australia now either - most likely the PDC just trying to go to different towns and venues over there.

Same as the NZ part of the tour has been held in Auckland for the past few years they are going to Hamilton this year to mix it up (although Wellington or somewhere on the south island would maybe have been better).

Yeah - Hamilton's the 4th biggest city over there behind Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch - weird to nationalise the name of the event (NZ Darts Masters) when previously it was known as The Auckland Darts Masters.

Ok so what a load of trash we have by Uncle Barry here:

The Headshaker flukes himself another invite to go over to Germany and play in the 367474738th German Event to grace the PDC

Then Kyle Anderson and Corey Cadby get themselves into the "PDC representatives" section of the draw for Oceania. How do they deserve that? Don't mind them getting wildcards into the other side of the draw but there's more deserving players. Whitlock is fair game but the other two? Come on.

If that's the case then Hopp and Schindler should be invited to play as a PDC representative for the German Event

It's actually not confirmed whether Whitlock, Anderson and Cadby are PDC representatives. They said in the article that further PDC "leading players" are to be confirmed for the Oceania events.

Last year Cadby was a local player and the other 2 were PDC representatives. I agree though, I think all 3 or at the very least Anderson and Cadby should go in as locals.

Headshaker doesn't deserve any invite at all, but hopefully Germany is the only one he does get in for - it wouldn't surprise me if he got picked for the Australia and New Zealand events as well though as one of the "leading PDC players", even though he is nowhere near being a leading player these days.

Cullen, Lewis and Chisnall much more deserving than that man. Even Van Den Bergh as a runner up last year should be around

Yeah I agree and possibly add Clayton to that list due to how well he's playing. Dimitri for me got his fair chance in the PL.

I don't know why Gurney is in all 5 events for example. Great player but Smith or Wade only being in one is not too balanced. Wright doesn't deserve to be in 5 either but I guess he's that popular.
