Country Legend Roy Clark dead at 85
Roy Clark, former star of the TV show Hee Haw has passed away from complications from pneumonia.    Loved the guy when he was one of the staples on the show "Hee Haw" and he and Buck Owens would team up for duets.

One of the great guitar players of our time and self taught from what I gathered in interviews.    My childhood memories are becoming just that--------memories.

RIP Roy Clark, you will be missed.

My dad used to watch Hee Haw himself being a blue grass/ country guitar man. I fell right in step with my dad's music choice. RIP Roy.

I wish I could remember who it was, but years ago I was reading a rock magazine - Circus, Hit Parader or Kerrang, it was one of those - and a very famous (which you'd have to be if one of those three mags were interviewing you) was asked who he thought the three best guitarists of all time were. The guy said "Roy Clark, Roy Clark and Roy Clark." Very telling answer, since Clark never played anything any of those magazines would ever review.

I also have a friend who used to work as a chauffeur for celebrities. If you ask him who the nicest ones he ever drove for are, he's quick to name James Brolin and Roy Clark (for those curious, he says the worst were Barbra Streisand and Tom Cruise).

Seems we lost one of the truly good ones here. RIP, Roy.
