Unicorn - behind the scenes at the matchplay.
Just seen this blog post.

It’s an interesting piece to read on how Gary tinkered with his set up throughout the matchplay tournament.

Very interesting read, subtle changes so often go un noticed yet can make significant changes to a players performance.
A 1% improvement at the very top level can be all that’s needed, 1 double/treble to win match.
Seems Gary is actually a secret tinkerer LOL

I'm glad you found it as interesting a read as I did, Like many have said it's interesting to see that even the highest level like to tinker with set up, even if only hours away from playing on one of the sports biggest stages.

Thanks for that link TJ!  Smile

Always fun to read when a player is not afraid of tinkering for improvement.
I don't think there is anything 'natural' about throwing darts. A person does not naturally stand sideways, with weight more on one leg, lean forward and swing to launch a projectile repeatedly, day in, day out as part of daily routine. One does not even throw a rock or ball that way.    ~ With darts, everything has to be learnt, and refined.  Wink

What is NATURAL? http://www.dartsnutz.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=22147

A beginner - always experimenting and trying to learn! So I can fool around with loads of set-ups and techniques! Lol! Big Grin
