coating-durability-Target-Storm-points-Nano
Hey there,

has anyone, who grips their darts on the point and uses the Target Nano Storm Points with a black or gold titanium-nitride coating,
made some experience with these points? How long does the coating last? I'm a front gripper and my middle finger rests on the front third of a point when i'm throwing. Currently i have the Target Firepoints 36mm in black on my darts, but there isn't any black color left on them after playing 5 months. It actually did wear off only 1 month after i bought my darts with the firepoints on. I want to buy a new set of darts in the next week and i consider to put a gold or black point on it.

Have you considered the Voks Tornado points? They are a forum sponsor as well.

Have a set of the Nano storm points in gold in a set of Gurneys, they have taken a beating and the coating while not looking new is still there. I'm very similar to you, I need that grip on the point. I have Firepoints in the darts I throw regularly and find they also wear fairly quickly. Have already replaced a set and its been about 3 months.

If you are looking for options I have tried the Storm Surge points in a set, they are perfect for my grip placement. I can't comments on longevity as it has only been a couple weeks. Also CD grip points. I put a 36mm gold set in at the same time as the surge points. Nice grip and do not appear to be wearing any faster than the target points.

Ok, thanks i think i'll try the Nano Storm points in gold, maybe the coating is a little bit more durable than on a black point Smile .The Surge points and the CD points don't really suit me as i need grip on the front half of the point.

I use the 26mm gold Storm points and they are fantastic with no visible wear. To be fair the black finish holds up really well too and I think you'd be happy with either. The gold Storms are my favorite points though.
