Crazy when most of Japan rocked up into the chat to watch a very hard fought game for Mikuru Suzuki against Deta "Gojira" Hedman. (Deta was towering over little Mikuru.)

ナイスゲーム - "Nice game" as so many of them typed! (Naisugaymu if you want to try and say that)

If either David Copley or Adam Smith-Neale win the Masters tomorrow then they will get a spot at the BDO Worlds, if any of the other 6 win then Wes Newton gets a spot as mens standby.

Also not sure on the WDDA final as I've just seen on facebook that one of the finalists is currently in Scarborough hospital waiting for results of a cat scan - hope he gets the ok to play.

Mentioned earlier, was curious to see the quality of this stream.  It's been extremely good, in stark contrast to pdc-tv offerings.  Doesn't have the PDC event production glitz, but if you just want to watch darts, it's great.  Of course, YT knows a thing or two about streaming  Smile

Now, if they could find a way to attract a few more spectators into the venue, they might have something going...

This particular event is being held in a seaside town outside of the usual holiday period, so there are basically only local people there now - and the event hasn't really been advertised there either so the locals don't know it's on. In addition it costs £15 per person per day to watch - so a family of 4 for example you are looking at £60 entry before even thinking about refreshments inside the venue.

I dread to think what will happen for the Worlds - they've still not confirmed the venue yet, so obviously no tickets on sale and it's coming up to the Christmas period so money will be short for a lot of people. I can't see the Worlds being on tv either, at least not any major station, so I reckon that will just end up being streamed as well with the same 247.tv people doing the production as this event.

Shame there's not many there either as that game between Scotty Dog and Copley was a damned good game for a 4-0 win!!

Watched alot of the event & it's been great darts all the way through, ya they dont seem to advertise anything in the BDO so kinda hard to get crowds or sometimes the venues are last minute, it's a nice hall they are playing in, Mitchell throws a 108 avg Copley throws just over 100 and never gets a set

Some shocking counting in the last leg of the first set between Waites and Williams.

Waites left on 81. Hits a S19, T9 and S9. Score is 55. The caller later corrects it to 45...

And Williams left on 139 goes T20, T13 and than throws on D16 or something down on the board and misses it.

I mean, that is just appauling counting.

The SPA is a lovely venue and has been done up lovely from how it was in the late 90's when i use to ply there in the British National Dominoes championships.

Have to say i think Bridlington is a fantastic town to host darts BUT its not the easiest to get to by train and the drive once off motorway is long, very long..

BUT Back to the Darts,,

Interesting few days, The incident yesterday between Waited and Parletti was a very good talking point, been many a comp and seen players putting there toes over the oche or going sideways on and having there foot raised,,

The counting from the players has been at times very questionable.and the callers have had to score check a few times but we are only human i guess...

However its darts on the TV and i dont have to pay anything to the big TV corporations to watch it happy times
