Luke Humphries darts?
Anybody knows what darts Luke Humphries is using? Wikipedia says 22g Red Dragon Signature. But which model? I was watching the German Darts Grand Prix last weekend but could no figure out the model. Also, Red Dragon web pages did not give the answer.
Good looking darts, though. And nice throwing style...

Pretty sure they were the first model of Simon Whitlock's by Winmau.  Luke was using long stems on them as well.

Ok, nice.  Where can you find them? Checked Darts Corner, but they only had the new Whitlock's there...

Would be a tough find, check the auction sites and see if any are popping up.

Quick search just now and found these Here at 24 gram. Smile

Meh. Dodgy  Would like to have them at 22g. Very nice looking dart (shape, front grip). Need to look for similar ones... That may also be a tough task. Any ideas?
Thank's anyway for your really fast replies... Cool

I've ordered there before, it's a reliable store.

Wow. Cool  Bling Bling! I guess those are for showing off not for throwing...  I'll  keep looking for alternatives, if any...

These are the darts Whitlock used before signing with Red Dragon/Winmau. They're a really nice dart - I used them for years. Very similar to the Winmau but I preferred the grip on the Bulls.

Good one Carlin, forgot to mention the Champ Bulls ones.  Funny enough I was just chatting with vanJupp about them the other day.  Getting old so my melon strength is weakening. Tongue

And we went the same route to get to talk about them. Started with talking about Woodhouse. Tongue

Yeah, I liked them so much I ended up buying them in all three weights (21,23,25g) Smile  The Bulls Champ feel a little grippier because of the deeper rings - especially with the paint removed. To the OP here are some comparison photos of Bulls and Winmau Whitlocks.

First, Winmau Whitlocks - Phase 2 24g (left), Phase 1 22g (the same ones Luke Humphries uses):

Thank's a lot Carlin for this. I also found the Bull's Champion darts from A180 darts with this explanation:
"Bulls Champion The Wizard 80% Tungsten Darts (Simon Whitlock Mark 1)
Available in weights 21g,23g & 25g
21 Grams version shown slightly front weighted dart Set Comes complete with:
One set of 3 Wizard Champion Red flights
One set of 3 Alabama Shafts.
One Slim Dart Case. Same dart as simon whitlock but he had some gold titainium added like you see on T.V.
Simon Whitlock Sponsored by A180 darts at the Grand Slam of Darts wolverhampton Barrel length approx 42mm"

Have to consider buying these... At the moment I'm using 22g darts (Winmau Vendetta and Foxfire). Now I have to decide which way to go, 21g or 23g?

I found these from Dartstore.fi: https://www.dartstore.fi/darts/tikka/by-...r-20g.html

Description:
"Simon Whitlock ' The Wizard ' Winmau 90% Tungsten softtip Darts

Available in 18 & 20 grams Comes with: One set of 3 Rhino Signature Wizard flights One set of 3 Nylon Shafts

Conjured by ''The Wizard'' himself, these 90% tungsten darts are replicas of his unique barrel design. They are made for Simon Whitlock by Winmau and ensure blockbusting checkouts and devastating accuracy. They feel perfectly balanced and weighted in your hand right from the moment you start using them."

But... they are softtip. I guess that it is possible to re-point them? After repointing 20g softtips you would get ca. 21 g steeltips?

The 20g they state will be total set-up weight for the soft-tip Whitlocks. This means the barrel alone will probably be around 18g only. You'd need to add conversion points which are usually made of a light metal like titanium so its unlikely they'd weigh anywhere near 22g. You'll probably also find the balance of a soft-tip with conversion points feels and performs differently than a one-piece steel tip dart. I play soft and steel and this has been my experience anyway. The Winmau Whitlock Mark 1 do come up on ebay UK quite regularly so I reckon you can grab a set there sooner or later. In the meantime I'd definitely recommend the Bulls Champion - they're a lovely dart to throw.
