Show us your smooth darts
Just got the 14 gram Hankey's for the collection and I'm surpised how well I can play with them considering they're 11 grams lighter than my usual throw. Anybody else throwing smooth's? I'd be interested to see what's out there  Smile
Here's mine (l to r) - Winmau Hankey 14 gram, Unicorn Jenkins 19 gram, Custom Denis Ovens copper tungsten 22 gram:

Hello,

I like this thread Smile

For long time I was always looking for something with as much grip as possible as I have rather dry hands and went from ringed grip to purist, tried shark grip and went from knurl to heavy knurl and back  :s .

At some point I got a set of smoothies from a charity auction (the McKicks as shown below) and discovered that smoothies suits me best.

It's true (at least as far as it concerns me) that the grip of them is getting better and better the longer you play and the warmer they get.
This is particulary evident (again - maybe only for me) for the Copper Tungsten ones.

This is my collection of smoothies (so far Angel ) from left to right:
  • Nodor ("Designa") customized / weight: 24 gr / length: 43,3 mm / diameter: 7,5 mm
They were initially 27gr but the diameter was reduced from 8,7 to 7,5
  • McKicks Premium Blacks short version / weight: 24 gr / length: 40,2 mm / diameter: 7,8 mm
  •  Noname (unkown) Copper Tungsten / 25,8 gr / length 47,8 / diameter: 7,7 mm
They are from ebay and were advertised as 25gr but the slightly higher weight doesn't matter that much.
These are the once I currently use. Will see how long this will last Rolleyes

Cheers

How do you guys hold your smooth darts in the same position everytime ?
I'm starting to enjoy some smooth darts.....
I am thinking of getting some more and sending them off to have some grip added to where I don't hold the dart - an anti datum point of you will

So they aren't technically smooth but they're smoother than all my others.
