If you robinhood an unpigmented Deflecta, it might mangle a bit but it probably won't break. And they definitely won't snap off when the dart hits the floor.

The main issue is the density of the billets.  Nobody seems to be able to get anything more dense than 80/20.  The density of copper is a tiny bit higher than that of nickel, so that's not the issue, ...
