I'm very happy, the bed leg was my oche marker but the bed is now re-centered with the TV.
The oche will have to be folded up when not in use so the door can be closed, not all bad as the wife cant get in when I'm throwing LOL

Nice set up Chris, just record yourself throwing darts push play on a loop and you have the room all to yourself. Big Grin

Just added a magnet system to easily attach my phone for playing my mate via WhatsApp, I cast my phone to the tv so the phone being up above the 20s is fine for me.[Image: OwP9BCC.jpg][Image: IJfbURn.jpg][Image: BzBl8b9.jpg][Image: sNaKb22.jpg][Image: O2WCgPL.jpg][Image: YKEzVgu.jpg]

Dan, this is brilliant, nice one. That magnet works a treat. Great set up!

This was my set up for about 10 years.

Now I've changed it a bit for this.

Love the new set-up. The old one was good but you took it and made it better.

Cheers mate :-)

What's more, after I had it done I was curious whether it would be more silent with the rotafix and I finally used it. I had it at home for almost two years and now it's on the wall finally. Speaking of the noise, I'm not sure whether there is any difference to the set up without the rotafix, however I've got a suspicion that it would be even better without the polystyrene block that I've got under the surround. It seems sometimes that the polysterene works as the resonant desk a bit. It helps if I slightly pull the surround away of the polysteren (to make a small gap). Then the sound is the best.

If anyone asks, if you have the rotafix cradle on the wall, you can use any dartboard with a normal screw. So, if you want to switch dartboards, you don't need to have to other half of the rotafix on other dartboards. I had been wondering for a long time if it was possible, so maybe someone else finds it useful to know too.

Here's my set up. Many thanks to JAMSGOLF who welcomed me in the introduce yourself thread and recommended I check out the DIY section for ideas on building my own light surround. I think my DIY has turned out pretty good.
1/2 inch plumber tubing 26inch diameter painted black, LED tape lights, and the legs are galvanized strapping painted black (the type used to support AC ventilation ducts in attic). Tried using magnets on the legs but, any that would fit weren't strong enough. Didn't want to screw the legs into the board so bent the strapping to fit between the board and the backboard. My backboard has a fabric surface so the painted legs adhere pretty well. Light ring doesn't move when removing the darts.
Yes that is a large backboard, see my post in the introduction thread for the reason why.
Total cost was significantly less than 1/2 of the cost of a retail Corona type light.
Thanks for the opportunity to show my set up. And yes those bulls were thrown, not staged......skills baby, starting to shake off 20 yrs of rust[Image: 2Z6fxNL.jpg]

Nice clean setup, well done.

Supawire is nice enough of a board, but the Supamatch without staples would be top of the line.  BTW , that's not 3 bulls as scored in n01.  A Cricket hat trick I think, but not 3 bulls as scored in n01:

Still a nice shot to show off that setup. Smile

Nice. What's the idea behind the big bullseye?

I haven’t looked into it yet, but from what I understand you work out your darting level/ability using the JDC challenge routine and the ‘green zone’ can somehow be used as a handicapping system.

For me, it’s just easier for my 4 year old to hit the bull.
