RE: Forum Guide Index - Jefferz - 02-04-2020 For #5 6 10, it's worth noting that having an account at imgur is not necessary to use it and post pics. RE: Forum Guide Index - nixer55 - 02-04-2020 Thanks for that - updated guide. How is it done?.I want to post pictures here on the forum but i´m hesitant about (Not going to) creating an account on one of those datamining "Services" as Imgur. I've done it by going to the Imgur home page - new post - upload your pic. Then get the share links by clicking the "..." at the top right of the image when selected. No idea how long they'll last, so a bit hesitant about that. If your main concern is privacy - I've never got an email from Imgur. And you can use a tracking blocking browser like Mozilla's Brave, or similar service. Tracking cookies concern me more than a throw away email address to be honest. cheers... I've not heard of anyone's pic on Reddit(the site where it was made popular) or elsewhere suddenly disappearing. The downside of not creating an account is that it's unlikely that you'll ever find the pic again to edit it at a later date. For privacy I use Cookie AutoDelete on FF so that you have full control over which cookies are deleted as soon as you leave the page or which ones to whitelist so that you can keep your preferences and such like RE: Forum Guide Index - Dannydano - 04-04-2020 Thanks for the info RE: Forum Guide Index - nixer55 - 04-14-2020 (02-13-2020, 09:53 PM)Jefferz Wrote: The pics will probably last as long as the service lasts. They had a commercial API with Imgur that uploaded images automatically - and anonymously. They later developed their own image storage and API. Now we have our own - on a smaller scale to be sure. So our system works the same way. But as mentioned elsewhere, members are free to insert their own links to their favourite service. cheers...
