Yeah, high water temperatures are a big driver of hurricanes. There's times the Gulf of Mexico is in the mid to high 80 degrees F or more in the summer months.

Wow, speaking of rain. I just came up from getting the smoker started to do some baby back ribs. It is now raining at the rate of about 2 inches an hour with no let-up in sight.. Crazy weather.
It helped a lot since my ground was showing cracks wide enough to put my hand into them with the soil so dried out. The only plus was it kept the grass from growing and cut back on the 5 times a month cutting to stay on top of it.
Nixer, just the opposite in my neck of the woods. We went without rain for weeks on end and that is highly unusual for S.E. Louisiana in the summer months. We did get a few hours worth of rain this past week.

The guy has fallen from the top of the heap to tied for 39th with Simon Whitlock in the Order of Merit. That's quite a tumble. For a while there, you never knew what version of Adrian Lewis was going to show up, the dominating force or the one that capitulates quite easily.
I think Adrian Lewis is so popular because he comes across as a nice bloke who was as good as we've seen post Phil Taylor.
Yeah, Lewis kind of dropped off the radar, not unlike Colin Lloyd who seemed to disappear almost overnight from the PDC. For a while, Lewis looked like the next heir apparent the way he was making the game look so easy.
