With all the time spent at Home due to Coronavirus the Family has been playing quite a bit of darts. so I figured I'd treat myself and the kids to a new Dartboard. My last couple Dartboards have been Unicorn boards but I wanted to try something different this time around. After much reading here as well as across the internet I decided on a One80 Gladiator 3 Dartboard.

I knew I wanted the older, less cluttered non-BDO script board and after talking with A-Z Darts they only had one in stock in both locations. It was the wall display model which had never had a dart thrown at it. After agreeing on a price (Thanks Kelly), I ordered the Board. An added bonus: it had the Shot/Puma "Puck" already attached so I could hang it right on my Shot/Puma Bracket

It arrived today and I grabbed a couple pictures before hanging it up.

When I placed the order I also ordered the Unicorn HD2 replacement numbers. I took my old Unicorn number ring, removed the metal numbers, ground down the high spots on my bench grinder and primed and painted the ring black before I put on the new HD numbers.

As you can see it looks 100% better with the new setup:

More info to follow.

Stunning, now go poke it all up. LOL. Very nice the way you kitted this up. Kelly always seemed like a good soul.
SlingBlade,
I had some time to shoot on the G3 tonight but I'l talk more about that later. For now...more pics!

Here is the view of the Spider on the G3:

Compared to the Unicorn HD1 board:

As you can see they are very similiar.

The G3 Bull is more flush with the board.

Good looking board. Nice setup. I also like that every tail is dimed on the amp  Big Grin
When I saw the pic in the other thread, I knew it looked "sharp" for some reason, but I didn't even catch that it was missing a couple of the logos. What a difference not having those extra logos on the side make...not to mention the great visual "pop" you get with that number ring! I really, REALLY like that number ring! Now I'm going to have to add a new number ring to my next order! These threads are costing me SO much money! LOL
Nice review. I think you may like this thread...

Jason,
Yes, the Unicorn HD2 numbers really add to the board. I looked into the complete Unicorn HD2 Pro steel number ring but it was over $40 at most US shops, half the price of a new HD2 board.
It was much cheaper from the UK, but shipping kills the deal.

You can pick up the replacement Unicorn numbers and use an old ring for a total cost of $6.00.

Jeff
Do those numbers fit on other brands of board, winmau in particular? Cheers
Job well done Great review thanks
I have the Unicorn ( metal number ) ring on my G3 and just the 2 logo's. had mine a while now and still looks as good as new

Lol .-) I've read the article recently saying that due to the coronovairus it seems like a lot of beer here in Czech republic is consumed by tourists, which is not happening atm. Numbers went down rapidly. BTW, I had my last beer on 8th March. That was the last day I was in the pub to play darts... Anyway, good luck in your effort. Hope you get good results. The best results would be achieved with the czech beer, you should look for some :-)

I don't see why they wouldn't as most number rings are around the same thickness.
